Qualifications needed to become a nanny registered with Ofsted.

To become an Ofsted registered nanny, one must first register on the Voluntary Register with Ofsted, possess a valid 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate, achieve certification to Level 2 or 3 with training in Common Core Skills, undergo an enhanced DBS check, and obtain nanny public liability insurance.

The Paediatric First Aid courses are offered three times a week, specifically on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. The course consists of 6 hours of practical training and an additional 6 hours online. These 12 hours cover all the necessary information and hands-on experience required to meet the Ofsted requirements.

To enroll in our comprehensive 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Course, the cost is £120.

Course in Early Years Care and Education:

The Early Years Care and Education Course we offer integrates the necessary Common Core Skills needed for Ofsted registration, along with supplementary modules designed to assist every student in reaching their full potential.

The Common Core Skills cover topics such as:

1. Developing Effective Communication and Engagement with Children, Adolescents, and Their Families
2. Comprehending Child and Adolescent Development
3. Ensuring the Protection and Enhancement of the Child’s Well-being
4. Offering Assistance during Periods of Change
5. Cooperating with Various Organizations

The course takes place over a single day, usually on a weekend. After finishing the program, individuals will need to pass a set of evaluations to receive certification recognized by the Open College Network (OCN) at level 3. Ongoing support from teachers will be available to guarantee that assessments adhere to OCN criteria, and there is a 4-week timeframe for submitting coursework.

The complete fee for the Early Years Care and Education Program is £189.

Check DBS:
